Perpetual Fabulous lanterns card

What makes a card of asian lanterns both ‘perpetual’ and ‘fabulous’ you ask? Well, using stamps from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar and Fabulous Four sets. Also the fact that it mixes very old with very new supplies, and I think it is fabulous.

Perpetual fabulous party card

The old: Kanji stamp set (from prior to 2007?), and the crimper (also retired)

The new/current: Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set (chrysanthemum and flowers on the lanterns), Fabulous Four stamp set (greeting), 2″ circle punch, 2015-2017 In Color envelope paper, Mint Macaron/Black Bakers Twine

The key to this kind of card is to stamp the lanterns first, crimp them second keeping the fold lines horizontal, and punch out the circles LAST. If you do the punching out before the crimping you get weird oval shapes. Not very party lantern-y.
