#TGIFCTD02 Challenge

I love watching cooking shows where they give the chefs limited ingredients and free rein to create something delicious.  I recently discovered a similar challenge for card makers, and it inspired me to join in.

The TGIF Challenge is inspired by the show Chopped: you have a pantry of items you can pull from (white paper, black ink, adhesive, doily, white bakers twine, sponges, etc), and then a limited list of items that you can use on your project.

These are the ‘basket’ items to choose from this time.

In this case, I don’t have either stamp set so I chose the Typset DSP, Pool Party ink, Hello Honey Ink, and Black card stock from the ‘basket’ to make the anniversary card. See more TGIF Challenge entries at TGIF Challenges

Typeset Card with Flower I used the Pool Party ink to sponge all the large round medallion shapes on the background paper, and to sponge the doily flower.  I then used the Hello Honey ink to sponge just the small diamond medallion shapes.  It makes for a subtle card with the ’61’ and ‘years’ cut out of the patterned paper.  Finally I made a bakers twine pom pom to finish off the flower.
